I take a practical, hands-on approach to soft landscaping and garden design, focusing on reshaping outdoor spaces so they feel coherent, natural and full of purpose. From reworking tired borders to building layered planting schemes from the ground up, my aim is always to create gardens that feel settled, generous and ready to grow into themselves over time.
I believe a well-designed garden doesn’t need to feel overly controlled or sterile. It’s about finding that middle ground where structure, texture and seasonal movement work together, creating spaces that are interesting, usable and full of life. Many of the gardens I’ve worked on continue to evolve with regular visits, helping them establish strongly and look better year after year.
Much of my work comes through recommendation and returning clients, which means I’m usually busy in other people’s gardens, helping them feel proud of the space outside their door again.
I’m reliable, straightforward to work with, and bring an energy to a project you’ll not find anywhere else – few are as passionate, obsessive or as motivated by gardens, fitness or cake than me…

I’m Claire, a creative, passionate planting planner with over 25 years experience in horticulture, I have developed a deep passion for creating thoughtful, beautiful planting designs.
My journey began in my own expansive garden, where I was inspired by my father, an accomplished gardener who worked on large parks and landscaping projects. His influence encouraged my lifelong love for plants and their role in transforming outdoor spaces. For the past 15 years, I have proudly run my sister company Plantittude.co.uk where I have designed and managed a diverse range of successful garden projects.
My expertise lies in blending artistry with functionality, carefully selecting plants that not only enhance the beauty of a space but also thrive in their environment.
