The vibrant red new growth provides a stunning display throughout spring and summer, while the glossy evergreen leaves ensure year round interest.<br \/>Whether used as a hedge, specimen shrub, or focal point, Red Robin never fails to impress.<br \/><br \/><b>Photinia \u2018Pink Crisp\u2019<\/b><br \/>For something a little different, Photinia \u2018Pink Crisp\u2019 offers striking variegated foliage with attractive pink, cream, and green tones. Their compact habit makes them ideal for smaller gardens, containers, and front borders.<br \/>Many varieties feature silver, blue\/green, or variegated foliage, adding colour even when not in bloom.<br \/>They come in all sizes from small \u2018Globe&#8217; Hebe to larger variety\u2019s.<br \/><br \/><b>Cordylines<\/b>.<br \/>When I want to create drama and architectural impact, Cordylines are often my first choice. Their bold, upright foliage creates a striking focal point and adds a strong structural element to the garden.<br \/>Available in shades of green, bronze, purple, and variegated forms, they bring year round interest and work beautifully in both contemporary and traditional planting schemes.<br \/>Cordylines are also well suited to coping with periods of drought once established, making them an excellent choice for climate resilient planting.<br \/><br \/><b>Pittosporum tenuifolium<\/b><br \/>Pittosporum offers beautiful glossy foliage in shades ranging from lime green to deep purple-black. Drought tolerant and easy to maintain, it\u2019s particularly useful in Mediterranean inspired planting schemes.<br \/>The foliage remains attractive throughout the year and releases a pleasant fragrance when brushed against.<br \/><br \/><b>Why Evergreen Foliage Matters<\/b><br \/>A garden built solely around flowers can often feel empty outside the flowering season. Evergreen plants provide the framework that keeps a garden looking attractive every month of the year.<br \/>They are also becoming increasingly important as weather patterns change.
